The club's annual Vets Tour took place on the 6th and 7th of May with a good mix of players, committee and supporters departing the club on their usual mystery trip. The destination this year was Kidderminster and we were hosted by Chaddesley Corbett RFC.
A small and relatively new rugby club they certainly made us feel most welcome, laid on a grand BBQ and entertained us in true rugby club fashion and so as a thank you, we let them win the rugby!
The evening passed quite quietly as one would expect, and the following day we headed off to Much Marcle for a visit to Westons Cider Mill, before making our way to the White Lion Inn at Ross on Wye for a fantastic Sunday roast.
The weekend was finished off with the usual 'debrief' at the Duke of Wellington and a big thank you to Blair and the team for their hospitality as always.
Overall it was another great weekend organised by Alfonso Powell who, with a little help from The Chairman, works tirelessly every year to make the trip possible for the club, which as ever is very much appreciated.
